Senior year of high school is such a huge step. It's such a transitional year with life-changing decisions to be made all while still figuring out who you are and where you fit. At some point you'll turn 18 and will be legally considered an adult but will still feel like a little kid that needs their parents' help {even if you don't want to admit it}. At the same time you want to spread your wings a little wider and finish this great chapter of your life with a bang.
All of this happens throughout the year so why not document this entire special year? With the Four Seasons Senior Portrait Package, you can do just that. With four one-hour sessions at a different location with different outfits, your final gallery will be filled with a wide variety of images which reflect the wide range of who you are and what you want to remember about this important year.
We'll meet over coffee {or ice cream} first to get to know each other and discuss what makes you unique and how you want to design each of your sessions. These 4 sessions can be done in a few ways.
One option is to have your first session in the SUMMER following junior year. You'll be excited to {finally} be a senior so let's capture that excitement with your first session. The next session will take place in the FALL amist the homecoming plans and early decision deadlines so we will be sure to lighten the mood with a laid back, fun session. Assuming it will actually snow in Kansas City, we will wait for a beautiful white blanket to cover the ground and then head out for a whimsical WINTER session {and we'll be sure to bundle up while we create some fantastic images}. In the SPRING, once things are winding down at school, we'll sneak away to capture those last few moments. Maybe you want some photos wearing your high school colors or maybe you want to wear the colors of your college or maybe you want to take some cap & gown photos. That's the great thing, you can design your sessions to fit your style, desires and vision.
Meet Makayla. For her SUMMER session she decided to venture down to the West Bottoms in downtown Kansas City. We found so many amazing nooks, crannies, alleyways and stoops which provided tons of backdrops for her session. Her first outfit couldn't have been more perfect for the location. The juxtaposition of the lace dress, cowboy books and urban buildings totally worked. Combine that with the fact that the first location featured a red door while she was wearing a red necklace {totally unplanned} and it was utter perfection.
The night couldn't have been more perfect. I think it was about 80F - not bad for the end of July in Kansas City. The graffiti artwork was stunning around each corner and we actually found a little piece of nature {if that's what you can call it} with a great ivy covered fence and fallen telephone poles. In this area was also a bunch of feral cats. If you know Makayla at all, you know that she is a HUGE animal lover and plans to study veternary medicine in college. We couldn't of planned it better if we tried.
The images we created of her are breathtaking and I hope she is proud of them and excited for the next time we meet. Being invited to be a part of this special year in her life is truly an honor and not something I take for granted. Thank you for trusting me with your memories and bring on the FALL session!
